So, make a list on your main twitter account..

then create another twitter account, add this second twitter account to your new list , name of this list being the niche you are targeting, follow my model , promote the list URL from your main twitter account and your up and running..

DO this!! its just too easy..

Took me 2 and a bit weeks to gain this No 1 position..

Additionally I will tweet about my SEO Tips facebook fan page, and get more fans, each time i update my fan page, links to it are distributed on the facebook walls of all those who are fans, spreading my message virally.

With the relatively new advent of twitter lists, I thought I’d test leveraging the twitter domain for my chosen term, to get a high listing in google for the term of my choosing..

So I made up a list called

Seo Tips

on my Peteinoz Twitter account.

See that lovely keyword phrase in URL, thinking this has to rank well stuck on the side of the twitter domain.

Similar in strategy to my previous leveraging the Facebook domain in Google.

This test is a basic test, sure great to get a URL listed highly in the search engines, though obviously not great, if we cannot monetise it.

So I added my other peterdrew twitter account to this list. So when people searching for Seo Tips in the search engines find this URL

They get exposed to my peterdrew tweets, revealing any links I drop, but further building my brand.

Interestingly I started this test a couple of months ago, when twitter first released the new lists.

I didn’t promote this URL = http://twitter.com/peteinoz/seo-tips  till 2 weeks ago, using EVO II, naturally..

Though I did notice today, that this URL http://twitter.com/peteinoz/seo-tips has a Page Rank of 4. So that’s pretty cool. my peteinoz account URL has a Page Rank of 6.

Two weeks ago I did an EVO II SEO project over the URL http://twitter.com/peteinoz/seo-tips  , then 1 week later did another run.

Today its entered the Serps ranked 50. So pretty happy with that. I will continue to create more EVO II projects on this URL till I make the front page.

Noting: After 8 months, my face book seo tips page, that has been sitting between position No 7 and 3 for this time dropped a couple of pages. So when Using EVO II, I’m promoting both links at the one time. e.g.

My facebook page dropped to page 4 and is now back to page 2. and will get back on the front page shortly.

So in time I’ll have both my twitter and facebook Seo Tips URL’s in the top 10, helping further to establish my brand and get traffic..

I strongly suggest you follow this model. leveraging the power of the twitter and facebook domains to gain rankings and receive traffic. What you do with this traffic is totally up to you

In case you didn’t notice.

In terms of absolute traffic, Twitter was always behind Facebook

by Alexa’s ranking. Facebook is always sitting on about the

5th trafficked site on the net.

Last month Twitter was in the mid 200′s

Checking today I see a massive rise in popularity in Twitter

in just the last month

After reading a lot of discussion
threads recently I see a LOT of people
just Don't Get what Twitter really is.

Honestly, it took me a long time to
actually GET it myself

Now I'd like to help you get this amazing
Twitter Phenomenon.

I was speaking the other night on ABC
radio about twitter, during this interview
it occurred to me the parallels between
my 41k twitter followers and this
radio station. Hear me out on this ok

The radio DJ has an audience following him
4 nights a week, why do they listen
to this DJ and not another competitor?

Because they like the content he distributes
on his chat show.

He is a late night Queensland local DJ,
and im guessing pretty much the same
following amount as I have between
my twitter accounts = 40,000

Realising this, it occurred to me
how important my list of 41k followers
on twitter actually is.

Like the DJ, my follower choose to follow
my twitter account. They stay followers
because the like the content I distribute
via twitter.

An interesting thing happened this Friday.

on both my twitter accounts peteinoz and
peterdrew accounts, my @ replies were going
berserk with people shouting #followfriday
with my account name after it.

All up about 5 or 6 pages of these
#followfriday shouts. ?

Twat the goodness is happening? So I asked
my twitter followers, What is this
#followfriday thing that I'm receiving
on my twitter?

I was very happy to find out that, on
fridays, twitterers send this
#followfriday followed by twitter account
names to their followers. e.g good twitter
accounts to follow, some with explanations.
One guy told his followers about my account
because I Helped him with a GPS recommendation
as an example.

To say I was floored is an understatement.
up to 6 pages of my followers recommending
my account to their followers. Amazingly
I gained about another 1000 twitter followers
during this time.

Another point I would like to raise about twitter
is credibility gained via accounts with a lot
of followers. This is in answer to a statement
made on a forum where a member stated, that
"just because someone has 20,000 followers
that does not mean that this person is an expert
in their field". This may be correct.
Though in my experience, having accounts
with 16k and 26k these do attract a lot of
attention due to their high following counts.
I checked the amount of followers that this
person had = 1700 and in the real world
anyone comparing his account to either of mine
would most likely determine that my accounts
do have more authority and or credibility
than his. Why its obvious, my accounts have
created a lot more buzz and I must have happy
followers or they would not be following me.

To be specific, the relation of followers
to exact expert knowledge is non related.
But, having high amount of followers is
what gets people to follow your account
then its Up to YOU to provide quality
content to prove yourself to these followers
who will not be followers if you provide
the content to gain a loyal following.

Which gets back to my analogy of the similarity
between Twitter and Radio.

Its exactly the same for DJ's They get employed
to fill vacant time slots. then its up
to their radio content to keep and build
their existing customer / listener rate. Exactly
the same as twitter.

So if you'd like to get your voice or views
out there. Currently Twitter is the absolutely
easiest way to gain a loyal following. How many?
Is determined by the method you use to gain
followers and quality of the information you
share with your followers

Tips on content to share with people.

1. Just be yourself. Be Real.
2. search for and find relevant information
related to the topic of the account you
setup and post snippets with links to
your blog posts, Like I have done with this
one. (Personally I only share content I think
of myself and do not need to research it)
3. reply to people on your twitter account
with quality answers to their questions. These
answers are often RT'd (retweeted to people on
their own accounts) and gain you more followers.
4. If I find a great short joke. I'll tweet it
5. Tweet about what you are doing. but nothing
too boring. only positive or real experiences.
