Big Changes in Video Marketing

Big Changes in Video Marketing.

1. Youtube videos are now listed in the video.google.com video search index.

2. Youtube has announced that they will start revenue sharing with video publishers.

Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube, said Saturday 27th January 2007 that his wildly successful site YouTube.com will start sharing revenue with its millions of users.

What affect has this had on the internet marketing community, to date, very little it seems. It appears the internet marketing community is slow on the pick up in relation to video marketing on the internet.

Here is a quote from a very large and popular internet marketing forum about video marketing "I always thought to rank well in a video search engine you have to have a good catchy video that is viral. This will help to get people embeded the google code into their site giving it more popularity and then Google will know this and rank it higher."

This is simply not the case. That is like saying, build a great website and the money will come, e.g. a Million dollar website not indexed in the search engines is worth exactly 0 dollars. This is the same with video on youtube and video.google.com. You may have the funniest or most inspiring video ever made but if it is not seen by anybody, you have just wasted a lot of time and energy producing it. When you have literally tens of thousands of people submitting videos each day the competition is fierce in terms of getting your videos to the next stage, which is listed on the high ranking lists, which is what you need to do to get maximum exposure to your videos.

Since Google.com has purchased Youtube there was much speculation about how and what this would affect the video community as a whole, this weekend we have seen that Video.google.com has now added the entire Youtube Video collection to its database effectively tripling the video.google.com video database. The true effects of this merge have yet to be seen, though those of us who regularly monitor the top 100 results in video.google.com will see that nothing much has changed in the top 100. Though videos that ranked well for specific niches have been pushed down the VERPS (Video Engine Ranking Positions) e.g. videos that for the last 6 months ranked in the top 5 for the search term Diet Coke Mentos, have now been pushed down the VERPS to the second page and replaced by videos from youtube.com.

Now Enters Youtube.com announcing that they will start revenue sharing, simply put, sharing the revenue generated by advertising surrounding the video content similar to what sites like www.thevideosense.com (sharing 50%)is doing currently with their video publishers. How they plan to do this and how much they will be sharing has not yet been released, the leaders in the video marketing community are hoping it will be a lot. There has been no mention of their terms and conditions relating to the video content that will qualify for revenue sharing, most likely this is one of their strategies to increase their fresh video content being submitted to youtube and trying to eliminate their members submitting copyright material which has caused them so much grief up to date.

At the very least, Since the recent youtube announcement this will get the attention of the internet marketing community now that there is the added possibility of making money from videos.

There are huge changes happening on the internet right now. This is a ground floor opportunity to be right at the forefront of Internet Video Marketing. Its pretty much an even playing field right now. There has never been a better opportunity to be involved.

New on the internet marketing scene is the Video SEO competition Held by Peter Drew, this was designed to help 1. encourage internet marketers to get involved in video marketing and 2. to teach these people interested the skills needed to rank highly and get targeted traffic to their websites via freely hosted video content.

Google SEO Secrets Explained

Google SEO Secrets Explained.

The main problems with getting listed in google?

There’s nothing worse finally getting your website indexed in google after much work gaining strong back links, only to find that your pages have supplemental results.

What is supplemental results? You can tell if your site is in the supplemental index by entering site:yourdomain.com in google, if any of the resulting pages have the words " Supplemental Results – in green beside the listing, this shows your these pages are in the supplemental index.

What does google say about supplemental results?

Supplemental sites are part of Google’s auxiliary index. We’re able to place fewer restraints on sites that we crawl for this supplemental index than we do on sites that are crawled for our main index. For example, the number of parameters in a URL might exclude a site from being crawled for inclusion in our main index; however, it could still be crawled and added to our supplemental index.

Yeah Yeah, auxiliary index? fewer restraints?

Simply what this means your pages are in fact indexed in google, but in the lower ranking index, which is where you really do not want to be.

How long to get out of this other index? generally anywhere from 9 to 12 months, with some execptions.

More from Google

The index in which a site is included is completely automated; there’s no way for you to select or change the index in which your site appears. Please be assured that the index in which a site is included does not affect its PageRank.

Erhm, Rubbish, you will never see a website/page in the supplemental index with PageRank.Though, having links from authority high PR websites can help your site get out of the supps.

So, now we know about supps and how it affects your labours in creating your fantastic website, which is now in Google Hell so to speak, whats the best way to avoid it if Possible?

How about purchasing a domain that has already passed the 9 to 12 months in the supplemental index or google hell as we call it?

What if I said there are literally 1000′s and 1000′s of domains like this dropping every day?

What if I said a lot of these sites even have PR and Backlinks from strong Authority websites and directories?

What if I said these domains with new content on them get indexed FAST! and do not get listed in google hell :)

Wouldn’t it make a lot of sense to put your valuable time into creating your new website on one of these domains ?

I’ve been teaching these strategies now for over 18 months to the members of my various sites, I am now going to share with everybody else exactly what is required to be successful using these strategies. and how to avoid the most common mistakes people make while doing this.

Its very simple

1. find a domain which has just expired

2. check to see if it has at least 2 pages in the google index and is not in the supplemental results.

3. Check this domain in Archive.org you can use their great wayback machine, which has a copy of just about every website on the internet, which gives you a peek into the past to see what type of website was on this domain, later I’ll explain what domains to avoid.

4. Check to see if this domain is at least 2 years old. meaning its first registration was at least 2 years from the current date.

Using these points alone, one friend of mine increased his overall gross monthly income by a massive 30% and got him from 5 figures a month to 6 figures. I make note of this to point out, these strategies are just as successful for experienced online marketers as they are for people brand new to internet marketing.

I believe this is the absolute cheapest and simplest way to increase your online income by 30% to 200%.

Some webmasters like separating the websites by using sub domains, this strategy works just as well for sub domains created on expired domains, which is a bonus.

Ok, now you know what to do, what’s the best place to find these expired domains and the easiest way to check them?

You can be right on your way to increasing your online income by 30% to 200% right now

heres a free site that offers lists of expired domains

http://www.odditysoftware.com/page-dailydomains.htm

heres another tip to find other websites listing expired domains, grab one of the domains that were listed a week or two ago, put this in google like this @domain.com then you will see other sites listing these domains that have just dropped out of the registries.

once you find an expired domain or best a bunch of them

go to

http://www.rightscripts.com/linkpopularity/  and enter them to see which expired domains still have pages in google

for the domains that still have pages.

Now for the expired domains that are able to be registered and have pages in google you need to check their history

http://www.archive.org/index.php enter your domain name in the wayback machine and press the Take Me Back Button. This reveals how old this expired domain is and supplies links that you can click on to actually see the content that was on it. For adsense websites you need to avoid software generated adsense websites, adult websites, or any other spam related websites.

Additionally put these expired domains in this website to check their PR

http://page-rank.us/ you can put in a bunch of domains at once to save time.

That’s it, you now have all the info you need to increase your future online income by 30 to 200%

Now you have the info, how about if I said I have a script that automates the above? Complete with Video Tutorial !!

E.G. you add a list, BIG list of domains and this script does all this work for you and just gives you the domains that qualify to the above criteria?

http://www.myinstantsupport.net/viral-instigator/expireddomains.html

Since I have been doing this for over 18 months

I’ve even further refined this process to include GREAT High PR domains

I have literally 100′s and 100′s of PR 4 5 and even 6 domains, all fitting the above criteria and my income has skyrocketed.

I have found a service that you can search their extensive expired domain data base by many filters including

Pages in the Search Engines

How many backlinks from Major Directories including Dmoz and Yahoo

and PAGERANK

Heres the Kicker, you can setup your account, by the specific filters of your choice and have the results emailed to you Daily!! It just doesn’t get better than this.

Check out these live examples here

Since 24th August 2005 i have recieved 2644 emails

see this image as evidence of all the emails I collect every day

Heres the thing, you need to register for this service NOW, they do have a huge database of expired domains, though my favourite way

to get expired domains is to use their Golden Nugget Drop service. This allows you to view almost live as domains expire and this is the best place to get great PR domains, so the more people who register the more difficult this becomes, so I suggest you get in their fast before you have too many other webmasters sitting there watching the great PR domains drop.

You’ll note I Have a testimonial on the front page of this website, this occurred after I sent them an email stating how happy i was with their product, I love it so much I tried to purchase this site for myself, though they wouldn’t sell it even for the substantial offer I made them. So here it is, I strongly recomend you access this service aswell.
